# Enma Style Guide: changelog

> Every revision of the Enma Style Guide, newest first, with the rules each one added, removed or changed. Pinned URLs (https://style.chopper.dev/enma@<revision>/rules.md) never change; unpinned ones always serve the latest text.

## Unreleased

Edits served at https://style.chopper.dev/enma/llms.txt that are not in a pinned revision yet.

The guide's examples and template now follow the guide's own rules, so the new lint kit passes them:

- Section 13's `Init` example and appendix B's host skeleton register only the addons they use (`register_addon_core`, `register_addon_std`) instead of `register_all_addons` (ENMA-14.8), and appendix B starts its engine with `set_permissions(engine, 0)` (ENMA-16.1).
- Section 18's Perception example puts `using namespace render;` inside the functions that use it (ENMA-11.7) and checks the `create_font` handle, failing setup with `get_last_render_error()` (ENMA-20.2).
- ENMA-14.8 names the addon registrations the SDK and template use (`register_addon_core`, `register_addon_std`) instead of `register_core` and `register_math`.
- The template's `TestPointsForUnknownTierIsZero` records `heap_count()` before and after, like every other script test (ENMA-22.3).

### Rule changes since 2026.10

- Changed `ENMA-14.8` in 14. Native functions and addons: **MUST** register only the addons a product needs (`register_core`, `register_math`, ...) instead of `register_all_addons` in shipping hosts, and disable the filesystem addon unless scripts truly need it.
