ChangelogEnma Style Guide

Conventions for writing Enma scripts, embedding the Enma SDK, and building single-player scripts on Perception.

Each revision is frozen at its own URL, so an agent pointed at /enma@2026.10/rules.md keeps the same rules until you bump it. The rule changes below are worked out from the revisions themselves. Also as Markdown.

  1. Unreleased

The guide's examples and template now follow the guide's own rules, so the new lint kit passes them:

    • Section 13's Init example and appendix B's host skeleton register only the addons they use (register_addon_core, register_addon_std) instead of register_all_addons (ENMA-14.8), and appendix B starts its engine with set_permissions(engine, 0) (ENMA-16.1).
    • Section 18's Perception example puts using namespace render; inside the functions that use it (ENMA-11.7) and checks the create_font handle, failing setup with get_last_render_error() (ENMA-20.2).
    • ENMA-14.8 names the addon registrations the SDK and template use (register_addon_core, register_addon_std) instead of register_core and register_math.
    • The template's TestPointsForUnknownTierIsZero records heap_count() before and after, like every other script test (ENMA-22.3).
